Aspen Hacker, a junior at Kern Valley High in California, placed second in the Division 5 girls final at the Central Section Championships by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 19:38.23 at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif. Hacker advanced to race Nov. 25 at the CIF State Cross Country Championships at Woodward Park.
